Garryn's parents were Rica Brosca and Bhelen Aeducan. He has a younger brother. Rica died when Garryn was 5, growing up Moira was more a mother to him as a result.

Garryn never had any interest in being an heir to the throne. He was not prepared for the shit storm that became his life after the Darkspawn took total control of Orzammar and killed his father.

Garryn's first order as king was to evacuate everyone able to the surface. It wasn't the popular opinion, but it was surface or death. Many died rather than go to the surface, something that made Garryn quite sad about.

Garryn is a progressive ruler like his father before him and is relying heavily on their allies as they try to make their way on the surface and build a life for themselves.

While many nobles would prefer it if Garryn would focus on finding a suitable wife and ensuring an heir, Garryn isn't ready to settle down and has more polyamorous, pansexual leanings.

At first they settled in the ruins of Ostagar, but eventually that became overrun as well, so they made their way north to the Free Marches where they settled in Tantervale and Garryn was made Lord Chancellor.

Personality

Garryn was always a quiet boy growing up. Not shy per se, just not loud or the sort to get into any real trouble. That was usually his younger brother. Garryn is respectful of all people and tries to show that in his leadership. He falls in love easily, but has had little luck at it in his young life. he has a fondness for nugs. Garryn doesn’t love hunting like his father once enjoyed. He’s a warrior, and a good one, but he prefers fighting as a last result. He’d much rather win with his words.
