Merilin was an ancient elvhen slave of Ghilan'nain. He was in charge of draconic aberrations, even having a hand in creating them. He's a mercenary and a scientist. He is objective about the world; though he does have his weaknesses in the form of Eriar. However, forcing him to show his weaknesses... well, that's another story.
TIMELINE

Isn't it funny... that you kneel before me?

Merilin, named for his ruthless prowess and nature, was a scientist under Ghilan'nain. He played a part in creating the draconic aberrations. As such, he was left in charge of maintaining and managing the dragons after his mistress became bored of them.

Merilin quickly fell in love with one of his aberrations; though he does not know how to show love, nor does he understand how to accept displays of affection. Rather, he is stoic, quiet, and practically apathetic.
