It might be easy to hate Loghain for his actions during the fifth blight. It might be easy to assume that he cared nothing for the soldiers and grey wardens that died, bug Loghain isn't all that he seems. Though his mistakes are many, his intentions behind those mistakes were, in his mind, all about survival for himself and Ferelden. His life hasn't always been easy. He learned from a very young age that in order to survive, it often meant doing whatever it took.

"Back from the Dead?"
What is this? Loghain alive? Well, it was no easy feat, but a very complex ritual later performed by Morrigan and he lives once more. Between the ritual and blood magic, he now looks to be in his thirties or forties. What did she sacrifice in order to bring him back? You'd have to ask her.
